DEREK DEAN
Derek Dean, a senior at Bear River High School, has had a remarkable season on the football field earning him this week’s Headliner Athlete of the Week.
“Derek is one of the most technically sound linebackers we’ve had here. Derek gets to the ball and brings everything he has to the party,” said Bear River High’s head football coach Chris Wise.
Derek is the son of Tad and Sandra Dean.
LYZA PEBLEY
This week’s Headliner Athlete of the Week goes to Bear River High School girls’ soccer (goal) keeper Lyza Pebley as a member of the 2020 varsity team.
Lyza has been a consistent force on the varsity Bear River soccer team this fall defending the Bears as their starting keeper. Lyza averages 15 saves per game and has been a defensive leader for the Lady Bears this year.
Lyza is a junior at Bear River High and is the daughter of Jeremy and Amy Pebley.
