BREAKING NEWS - “Victims Identified in Tremonton Shooting”

Police are releasing further information into Wednesday night’s shooting in Tremonton where two victims are still listed in critical condition at this time.


According to Tremonton Garland Police Chief Dustin Cordova, the two victims, Jeremy Lott, 40, and Shane Durkee, 36, both of Box Elder County, remain in critical condition after a shooting incident that occurred Wednesday night, August 31, at 305 W. 1000 N., in Tremonton (former La-Z-Boy plant).


The suspect, Richard Matthew Barlow, 25, was arrested and taken into custody after police were able to determine his identity and whereabouts using evidence taken at the scene. With the help of the Tremonton Garland Police Department and the Box Elder Sheriff’s deputies, Barlow was arrested in the parking lot of the Marble Motel in Tremonton where he surrendered without incident.


A search warrant was obtained and multiple articles of evidence were found in the motel. Barlow is facing charges of Possession of a Weapon by a Restricted Person, Aggravated Assault with other charges pending depending on the condition of the victims.


Cordova also stated that Barlow is the only suspect and the only known suspected shooter in Wednesday night’s incident. Police are still investigating this case and no further details have been released regarding a motive. BRVNEWS.com will post more information as it becomes available.
